This is a board game to play in small groups. You will need a dice and counters. Students take turns to throw the dice and move their counter accordingly. They then make a sentence using the verb in the square they land on. If they land on a yellow square, they talk about the topic given. The yellow squares are for less structured open-ended utterances. They can be simple or complex, giving scope for differentiation.
The teacher can choose the tense or leave it to the students.
To extend the range, students can use two dice – one with numbers and one with personal pronouns, so that the verbs are used with a variety of pronouns.
